Margins to the Mainstream
THE PROJECT
We worked with Women’s Health East and Women with Disabilities Victoria to support the launch of Margins to the Mainstream, an initiative centred on the experiences and expertise of women with disabilities and designed to build the case for further investment.
THE CHALLENGE
The partners needed to translate the value and impact of the program into a compelling public-facing case for investment, while ensuring women with disabilities and their lived experience remained at the centre of the advocacy.
THE SOLUTION
We collaborated closely with both organisations and lived-experience experts to plan and deliver the online launch. We created video and digital communications to bring the case for investment to life and provided media training and preparation to support lived-experience experts to speak at the event and engage confidently with media.
THE RESULTS
The launch provided a strong platform to communicate the value of Margins to the Mainstream to stakeholders and decision-makers, while elevating the voices, expertise and experiences of women with disabilities. The people at the heart of the program were also at the heart of its advocacy — telling their own stories and making the case for change.
